Dr. Glover
Dr. Aaron Glover, Head of School and Upper Campus Principal
On April 2, 2023, the board announced Dr. Aaron Glover as the Head of School and High School Principal of King’s Academy Christian School. Dr. Glover succeeds the late Dr. Wayne McEntire, who faithfully served King’s Academy from 2019 to 2023.

A Tyler-area native, Dr. Glover graduated from Whitehouse High School (2005) as a distinguished scholar, award-winning athlete, and was voted “most talented” by his classmates. After High School, he achieved a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing (2009) from the University of Texas at Tyler. Feeling led by God to further his academic pursuits, Dr. Glover later earned a Master of Christian Ministry (2016) and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Educational Ministry Leadership (2020) from Dallas Baptist University.

Dr. Glover previously served as a High School Bible Teacher at King’s Academy and Pastor of Outreach & Missions at Colonial Hills Baptist Church. His professional background and ministry experience also include pastoral leadership, over 15 years as a marketing professional, and traveling across the nation as an evangelist/public speaker with “The Power Team” (an evangelistic group that performs feats of strength and shares the Gospel with people of all ages).

Dr. Glover loves studying the Bible, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and inspiring others to fulfill God’s callings in life. He also enjoys serving in music ministry alongside his wife, Emily.  The Glovers are blessed with the joy of four children: Mia (14), Carter (9), Luna (5), and Gracie (<1). His hobbies include playing bass guitar, working out, reading a good book, writing, and drawing.

Vickie Williams, Upper Campus Assistant Principal
I am teaching and also serve as the Dean of Curriculum & Instruction and Academic Adviser. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, and I am beginning my 37th year of teaching, 26 of which have been in the Christian school setting. This is my 7th year at King’s.   I have served in many capacities, but most of my teaching experience is in the math and science classrooms.

Kristin Broyles

Kristin Broyles, Lower Campus Principal
I grew up in Tyler and graduated from Robert E Lee High School in 1999. After high school, I went to Dallas Baptist University where I attained a BBA in Marketing. A few years after graduating, I began to feel God leading me back to school to obtain a teaching certification. In 2006, completed a program through LeTourneau University and started teaching with Tyler ISD. I taught in Tyler ISD for 15 years, teaching 4th and 5th grades, as well as k-5 math, reading, and behavior intervention. I loved teaching in public school, but felt led me to spend more time with my family.

This is my third year at King’s Academy, and it has been such a great experience. My three kids attend King’s with me, and I have seen how great the university model has been for all of us. The kids and families at King’s have been so amazing to work with. It’s such a blessing to be able to do what I love and be able to minister to the students and families at the same time.

Danica Bielss, Lower Campus Assistant Principal
I am a Tyler-area native and graduated from Whitehouse High School in 2009 with distinguished honors. After high school, I went to Stephen F Austin where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in EC-6th General Education in 2013. I began my teaching career in 2014 as a Dual-Language teacher in Jacksonville ISD. Since then, I have taught in several surrounding public-school districts in PreK-5th grade.

My husband Chance and I got married in 2012 and we have three daughters, Brynlee, Stella, and Emersyn. We spend most of our time following and supporting our girls in their sports. We are cheer, gymnastics, and dance parents! As a family, we began to feel the call to turn our attention to our family and our children’s spiritual and educational growth. We moved to King’s Academy in 2022 and have embraced the opportunity to grow with the KACS community in this unique setting.

Bobby Perry

Bobby Perry, Athletic Director
I was born and raised is East Texas. My parents, Bill and Judy, raised us in a Christian home, and I played football in high school for Chapel Hill. During that time, I had a coach who invested time and energy into his athletes. He taught us hard work, teamwork, grit, and self-discipline. Sports became a huge outlet for me during my teenage years, and helped to develop the confidence I needed to carry me successfully through life.

I hope that my time spent at King’s Academy will have the same value for the young men that I coach. My heart is to lead these young men to a stronger relationship with God, and help them build self-confidence, and a strong work ethic that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.

Tavon Green

Tavon Green, Assistant Athletic Director
I graduated from Marshall High School in 2012. I graduated top 15% of my class and had all district honors through my years of varsity basketball! I attended East Texas Baptist University for two years where I began my collegiate basketball career! After a death in the family I took a red shirt Year and transferred to the University of Texas at Tyler. Instead of college basketball I began a semi-pro career which quickly came to an end and my true Ministry began! I got married to my beautiful wife Ke’Asha Green and began coaching travel basketball at a high level! I am extremely passionate about my relationship with Jesus Christ, I love my wife and 2 amazing children to life, and I love pouring into the lives of young people. Jesus is my everything and without him I’m nothing and can do nothing! I love my family, I love young people, and I love the game of basketball so I’m excited for the journey ahead! All the glory to God and thank you to Kings Academy for the opportunity!

Jenifer DeFreece, Director of Admissions and Development Coordinator
I was born in Palestine, TX, but lived all over East Texas as a child. In sixth grade, I returned to Palestine where I lived until 2023, when I relocated to Tyler. I was saved by Grace when I was 23 years old. I am married to Richard DeFreece, Jr. and I have six children (three biological, two step children and one adopted daughter). I have served in ministry since 2007. Over the years I have served as a Sunday school teacher, children’s director at Evangelistic Temple for 12 years, an early learning center director, ladies bible study leader and director of Living Alternatives (a pro-life non-profit organization). I have been at King’s Academy since October 2022. I began a women’s ministry podcast called Ardently His in January 2024. I love to travel and have been to all 50 states. My biggest passion is sharing the astounding love of Jesus with others and helping the broken rest in the ardent love of the Father.

Ashley Hollis

Ashley Hollis, Director of  Technology and Communications
Our family has been at King’s Academy since 2012. I went from parent to board member to employee over the years and have loved being involved in our children’s education. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Management Information Systems in 2000 and received my teaching certification from UT Dallas three years later. I have a variety of experience in both technology and teaching, along with staying home with my babies for a while and being a small business owner. In 2001, I married my soulmate, Justin, and we now have 4 children – one a KACS graduate, and the remainder all enrolled at KACS. I love King’s Academy and all it has to offer our children and family and I look forward to many more years of involvement with this school.

Cathy Hugghins

Cathy Hugghins, Office Administrator and Registrar
I have taught 5th-8th grade math for 8 years and served as the math teacher in Katy, TX. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver. My husband, Joe, and I have four children in high school and two in college. I have home-schooled or been part of a hybrid-model school since my oldest entered kindergarten in 2008. Our family thoroughly enjoys discussing history, politics and Biblical world view around the dinner table. Joe and I are passionate about James 1:27 “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” This verse led us to adopt two children from China. Our family moved to the Tyler area in the summer of 2023, and we are looking forward to finding out about all that Tyler has to offer. I can’t wait to get to know the students and staff at King’s!

Dr. Wayne McEntire

Dr. Wayne McEntire, Former Head of School
We will miss the leadership and friendship of our former head of school. We are thankful for the years were were able to share with Dr. Wayne McEntire and look forward to the day when we meet him again in Heaven.

“I count myself blessed to be at King’s Academy and I know that it is a divine appointment for such a time as this.  I began my journey as an educator at the age of 28 teaching Bible to high school students in Houston. My wife and I homeschooled our older children while living in Gainesville, Texas, and found it to be a family-friendly alternative to conventional schooling. Our older children later attended a five-day Christian school where I was principal.  Now, with our two youngest children, we are able to have the advantages of both home school and conventional school in the UMS model.

In addition to serving as a teacher and principal, I have also pastored and worked in other church staff positions over the years.  My degrees are in theology and religious education from Louisiana College, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. My wife, Kyla, and I have been married since 1991 and have five children and four grandchildren.”
